Firenze
Firenze was inspired by Italy’s colorful hand-marbled paper. The Peacock or Bouquet Swirl, created near the end of the 18th century, is the oldest and most popular marbled paper design. Italy became internationally known for papermaking in the 13th century. Florence’s oldest marbled-paper maker is Guilio Giannini & Figlio which was founded in 1856. Giannini still uses natural dyes and water to make their one-of-a-kind pages of carta marmorizzata.
Our all-natural Firenze soap is made in small batches by Fredericksburg Essentials with vegetable oils, shea butter and filtered rainwater. The soap bars are naturally scented with an uplifting and cheerful blend of essential oils including lavender, frankincense, sweet orange, litsea and black pepper. The soap is naturally colored green by an infusion of indigo and annatto seeds.
